How do I choose the right wig color?

Wig color names can vary significantly by manufacturer, which is why we recommend looking closely at the color images available on each product page rather than relying on the color name alone. If you are unsure between colors, use the Ask a Question section on the product page and Tia can help you narrow down your options.

How do I know which cap size is right for me?

Cap sizing varies by manufacturer and style. Check the product details for available sizing information and manufacturer recommendations. If you are unsure about fit or sizing, send Tia a question before ordering.

Can I use heat on my wig?

It depends on the fiber. Traditional synthetic wigs should not be exposed to heat unless the manufacturer specifically identifies the fiber as heat safe. Heat protectant does not make a non-heat-safe synthetic wig safe for heat. Heat-friendly synthetic and human hair products have different care requirements, so always follow the manufacturer's recommendations for your particular piece.

How often should I wash my wig?

A general guideline is approximately every 6–10 full-day wears, although the right schedule depends on how frequently you wear the wig, your lifestyle, product buildup, and the manufacturer's recommendations. If your wig looks, smells, or feels like it needs to be washed, it probably does.

What products should I use on my wig?

Use products designed for your particular wig fiber. If your wig contains synthetic fiber, look for shampoos, conditioners, detanglers, and styling products specifically approved for synthetic or alternative hair. Products designed for biological hair are not necessarily appropriate for wigs.

How long will a wig last?

There is no single expiration date for a wig. You may hear general estimates of approximately 3–6 months for a synthetic wig worn daily, but lifespan varies considerably based on the fiber, length, friction, frequency of wear, lifestyle, and how the wig is maintained. Proper care can make a significant difference.

What if I need help with my wig after I receive it?

Tia offers personalized help for wig wearers, including virtual and in-person wig coaching and consultations. If you are unsure about products, maintenance, styling, fit, or your particular wig, you do not have to figure everything out on your own.

We understand that choosing the right wig online can be challenging. Returns are accepted on eligible wigs only and require prior authorization. Before sending anything back, customers must complete the Return Authorization Request Form and receive approval.

Eligible returns must be regular-priced wigs that are unworn, unaltered, odor-free, and in their original condition, with all tags and original packaging intact. Lace must be uncut, and the wig cannot have been brushed, combed, styled, sprayed, or otherwise altered.

Return requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of delivery, and approved items must be shipped back within 20 days of delivery. Customers may make up to 4 returns per calendar year.

Approved returns are issued as store credit only and are subject to a 15% processing and restocking fee per item. Original shipping charges and taxes are non-refundable, and customers are responsible for return shipping.

Many items are final sale, including Boutique Deals, Live Sale and clearance purchases, toppers, extensions, human hair wigs and toppers, accessories, hair care and styling products, tools, and customized or altered wigs.
