At Tia Maria Wigs, we believe a wig is about so much more than hair. It can restore confidence, provide comfort, and help someone facing hair loss feel like themselves again.

Our Wig It Forward Donation Program was created to give new and gently used wigs a meaningful second life. Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, donated wigs help support local cancer patients and others experiencing medical hair loss.

Every donation makes a difference, and every wig has the potential to help someone feel seen, supported, and hopeful.

What Can I Donate?

We happily accept donations of:

• New wigs
• Gently used wigs in good, wearable condition
• Toppers
• Select hairpieces and wig accessories (when appropriate)

How to Donate

We accept wig donations year-round! Whether you choose to ship your donation or arrange a local drop-off, we're incredibly grateful for your generosity. If you're local, please contact the boutique to schedule a donation drop-off, or you may ship your donation directly to us. Because the Wig It Forward Donation Program is supported entirely through donations and volunteer efforts, shipping your donation is considered part of your generous gift to the program.

What Happens to My Donation?

Every donated wig is carefully inspected to determine whether it is appropriate for someone experiencing medical hair loss. We clean, sanitize, evaluate, and, when needed, perform minor repairs or restoration to help ensure each wig is ready for its next home.

Whenever possible, qualifying wigs are donated to help local cancer patients and others experiencing medical hair loss.

Wigs that are not appropriate for donation through the Wig It Forward Program are never wasted. Instead, they may be donated to local cosmetology schools, theater groups, or other community organizations where they can continue to educate, inspire, and serve others.

Supporting the Program

The Wig It Forward Donation Program is funded entirely through the generosity of our community and does not receive outside funding.

To help cover the costs of cleaning, sanitizing, repairing, restoring, storing, and distributing donated wigs, Tia Maria Wigs reserves the right to sell a small portion of donated wigs. Every dollar generated through these sales is reinvested directly into the Wig It Forward Donation Program, helping us continue providing wigs and support to those who need them most.

Our goal is always to maximize the impact of every donation while ensuring the long-term success of the program.
